Glenn McCrory is anticipating an exciting evening of boxing when he makes his commentating debut at Rotherham’s Magna Centre on July 4 for Spike TV (Channels: Sky 160, Freeview 31, Talk Talk 31, Freesat 141, BT TV 31).
The former cruiserweight world champion, and experienced pundit, will be on the mic as Nav Mansouri defends his English light-middleweight belt in his hometown against Sheffield’s Sam Sheedy, and Dronfield’s Lewis Taylor and Stafford’s Grant Cunningham contest the vacant English middleweight title.
“I’m really excited to be commentating on these fights and I’m really excited to be working on this show with Dennis Hobson who has done everything to keep boxing going in this region.
“Both the two main fights are very evenly-matched English title bouts, and we’re expecting a cracking night’s entertainment for the fans and viewers on TV.
“It’s good to see a new broadcaster in boxing. Obviously I’m a massive boxing fan, it’s been my life since I was a kid, so the more people out there promoting boxing and getting fighters seen on TV the better. So, welcome to Spike TV to the British boxing scene.”
