The 23 year-old, who lost out to Kid Galahad in a valiant effort a year ago, has since made a successful return in scoring a victory last March in Aintree and is now set to build on his points triumph against Krzysztof Rogowski.
‘Jazza’ initially racked up 16 straight wins until running into the in-form Galahad for the British title at the Magna Centre in Rotherham and can make another push towards a shot at the coveted Lonsdale belt with an further success next month. Southpaw Dickens, whose opponent will be named shortly,has already been pushed forward by the British Board for a shot at the Britsh belt in early 2015.
The Liverpudlian takes his place on the undercard of a packed bill on Merseyside topped by former IBF flyweight champion Paul Butler. Some of the hottest British prospects arounds line-up alongside Scouse favourites Liam Smith, Kevin Satchell and Derry Mathews, who are all pencilled in to participate in title fights on the night.
Rounding off the title encounters is a massive domestic cruiserweight bout between big-hitting Ovill McKenzie and Matty Askin, which is scheduled to take place for both the British and Commonwealth titles at 200lbs.
