Wach open to Haye and Klitschko clashes

The 32 year-old, who has knocked out 15 opponents in his seven-year career, also told WBN that he would like to meet former WBA heavyweight champion after witnessing the ‘Hayemaker’ take Dereck Chisora apart in five rounds earlier this month.

“My promoter, Mariusz Kolodziej wants me to fight at the end of September and the fight will most likely take place in my native country of Poland,” Wach told World Boxing News.

“I’m really excited about it and I can’t wait to get in the ring again.

“Ideally, I would like to have at least two more fights with some experienced opponents and then I could go for a world championship. If this opportunity comes earlier, I will do my best to get more than 100% ready and win this fight.

“It wouldn’t really matter which of the belt holders I faced as I just want to be a champion, I can’t be fussy about choosing opponents. The world champion should be ready to fight anyone, anytime.”

Wach cited Haye is one of those two fighters that he could meet before his possible Klitschko bout, although ‘The Viking’ believes that Chisora could have upped his game in their recent Upton Park clash.

“It was a good fight which proved that talk is cheap,” said Wach.

“Chisora could only talk a lot, but Haye showed his skills in the ring. He was a better boxer that night and deserved victory. I was disappointed with Derek’s performance.

“Would I like to fight Haye, why not? It would be the biggest challenge in my boxing career but I would definitely want it to happen.

“I just want to thank all the people who believe in me for their support and hope they come to see me fight in September!”
