The 30 year-old admits he’s scared of spiders, snakes and heights, all three of which the ITV series has an abundance of.

Khan’s journey begins on TV screens this Sunday night when viewers can vote for celebrities to face a number of ‘Bush-Tucker Trials’ over the coming days.

Profile (Courtesy of ITV):

Occupation: Boxing Champion

Age: 30

Phobias: Spiders, snakes and heights.

Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: People only ever see me in the boxing ring. It will be nice to show people what I’m like away from it.

Role in the Camp: The leader. I will spur people on.

What you will miss the most: My family and my daughter.

Dream Campmate: Drake and Floyd Mayweather would be amazing!

Quotes: “Whenever I see a spider at home, I get my sister to move it. I just don’t deal with it,” he admits. “Will I scream? Yes definitely, but maybe this is the time where I face my phobias!”

“I am most looking forward to getting away from the world, spending time with myself and getting to know some new people.”

“I’m not going to watch any of the previous series. I’m going to deal with everything when I get there.”

“With the sport I am in, I do need to be confident. Boxing has made me accept all challenges, never give up and never be scared.”

“To win the series would be just brilliant. I will be King Khan!”

Tune in this Sunday night on ITV at 9pm
