Mayweather slaps ‘Pacquiao’ dummy, says stop lying about injury

Floyd Mayweather brought back some old beef via his Instagram account this week as the world number one was playing around with a punching dummy at a gym store.

The 38-year-old, who is set to announce his September 12 opponent in the coming days, pretended Pacquiao was in front of him.

He questioned injury claims after their record-breaking May bout.

Pacquiao cited a serious shoulder ailment for his below-par performance against Mayweather in Las Vegas. ‘Money’ is clearly still rankled about the Filipino’s motives.

On the night, the consensus is that the better fighter won.

Floyd Mayweather slams ‘dummy ‘Pacquiao

Mayweather tells the dummy of his disappointment before leaning in to listen. He then gave ‘Pacquiao’ a couple of slaps for his trouble whilst telling him to ‘stop lying.’

The TMT leader stated that he was only joking, though. Pacquiao continues his recovery from surgery in the aftermath of their contest.

A second fight between the pair looks to be off the menu for now as Mayweather is convinced he won at a canter fair and square.

Either way, both men pocketed career-high paydays and could sail off into the sunset whenever they wish with legacies intact.
