Kimbo Slice returns to MMA, talks signing with Bellator on Spike TV (video)

Former backyard brawler Kimbo Slice has announced his return to MMA following a 17-month stint in boxing.

The soon-to-be 41 year-old racked up seven straight victories upon signing with Gary Shaw in 2011, but has been out of the ring for two years since defeating Shane Tilyard in Australia in 2013.

Shaw had told WBN late last year that he expected Slice, real name Kevin Ferguson, to fight in boxing again in the near future, although this move could now signal the end of Slice as a professional under the Queensberry Rules.

Slice has signed a deal with Bellator MMA and will be featured as a headliner on Spike TV in the spring.
