Contact is believed to have been made between both parties regarding the fight as both men took to social media to declare their interest in the contest.
‘The Ripper’ asked Cleverly ‘where we at’ on his account, to which the two-time champion replied that he’s, ‘waiting on you guys’ to Jack and his team at Mayweather Promotions.
I've told my team, this is the fight I want! Waiting on you guys …. https://t.co/rQLT3ZRWVy

Jack has moved up to 175 pounds from a solid reign at 168 pounds, whilst Cleverly boiled back down to the lighter limit following a disappointing run at cruiserweight.
Cleverly is currently in possession of the WBA regular strap, whilst Jack is hoping to make an immediate impact seven pounds higher following his recent draw with James DeGale.
The US-based Swedish-Gambian is already ranked number five by the World Boxing Council on the back of his previous exploits and would arguably begin a slight favorite despite their weight differential.
Welshman Cleverly has endured mixed fortunes inside the ropes since losing for the first time in his career against Sergey Kovalev in 2013, having won four of seven.
An entertaining reverse against Andrzej Fonfara would be deserving of a second helping, although fans won’t be too downhearted should ‘Clev’ sign on the dotted line to face Jack in the summer.
