Frank Bruno shocked viewers in an interview with UK network ITV’s This Morning programme by admitting he has to return to boxing for his own state of mind.
The 54 year-old, who has been retired for twenty years since being knocked out by Mike Tyson for a second time, is now training every day for a comeback.
Bruno claimed the world heavyweight title in 1995 when defeating Oliver McCall at Wembley Stadium but has suffered with long-term mental health problems ever since stepping away from the sport.
The British legend’s revelation has been greeted with sadness from the boxing world amidst further fears over Bruno’s well being.
