Phil Jay

Having founded World Boxing News in 2010, I have extensive knowledge of boxing and the inner workings of the sport. Accepted as members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and the Sports Journalists Association, my previous experience includes writing for local newspapers, collaborating with Boxing Scene, and being cited by the BBC, Sky Sports, Forbes, DAZN, The Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph and many others. I have years of breaking boxing news behind me and remain a trusted source for a sizeable audience. Holding many contacts, both on the professional and amateur side, enables me to gather up-to-date information, conduct interviews with the biggest names, and bring exclusive news to boxing fans. Furthermore, I have extensive knowledge of the rules and regulations of all four major boxing organizations: the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO. This kind of experience enables me to explain and reply to any questions boxing fans may have. My vast capabilities began at a very young age, attending and scoring fights in preparation for a future in boxing. Since launching the very successful World Boxing News, I have attended over 100 events, scored over 500 fights, and been present at the most significant events in Las Vegas, New York, and many other venues. I have amassed a following of over 250,000 loyal fans on social media and interviewed boxing legends such as the great Sugar Ray Leonard, 'The Raging Bull' Jake LaMotta, promoter Bob Arum, and four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield. Heavyweights Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, and names like Amir Khan and top manager Shelly Finkel have also been featured on WBN exclusively.
