Tom Schwarz ready to shock the world, promises to defeat Tyson Fury

Tom Schwarz is adamant Tyson Fury’s undefeated run is coming to an end when the pair collide at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The tough German, who himself holds an unblemished record, was plucked from obscurity to face the number one rated Ring Magazine heavyweight.

With fight night fast approaching, Schwarz is confident he can overcome the massive challenge sitting in front of him.

Promoter Bob Arum believes Schwarz has every intention of scoring the second big top division underdog win of the month.

“Tyson will be facing a tough, experienced and undefeated fighter in Tom Schwarz. He is coming to Las Vegas ready to shock the world,” said Bob Arum.

Schwarz added his intentions, by stating: “This is what I’ve been working for since I was a kid. A fight in Las Vegas against Tyson Fury is a dream come true.

“While I appreciate Tyson as a great fighter and a sportsman, I am young and ambitious. I’m also in the top 15 of the world rankings.

“I‘ve won 24 fights. I’ve got nothing to lose. My 25th victory will come against Fury.”

WARREN

Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren obviously didn’t echo the sentiments of Schwarz.

“Tyson is the best heavyweight on the planet and the lineal champion. He’s a superstar, and there is nowhere better for a superstar to have his next fight than in the Mecca of boxing itself, Las Vegas.”

Russell Wolff, executive vice president and general manager of ESPN+, concluded: “Tyson Fury is an incredible boxer with an incredible story, two things that are right at home on ESPN+.

“Tom Schwarz is young, ambitious and unbeaten. This fight adds to an ESPN+ boxing lineup that has been packed with champions in its first year, making it a must-have for any fan of the sweet science. And we’re just getting started.”

Fury v Schwarz is live on ESPN+ in the USA and BT Sport Box Office in the UK
