Jarrell Miller career in tatters, fails SECOND test for ANOTHER substance

Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Jarrell Miller has failed a second SEPARATE drugs test after pleading his innocence over the loss of a fight against Anthony Joshua.

Previously, the American was found to have GW1516 (Endurobol) in his system following a VADA test.

Miller had his New York license revoked. He was subsequently dropped from a fight against Joshua on June 1 at Madison Square Garden.

Just two days later, and Hearn has confirmed the presence of ANOTHER substance. A growth hormone reportedly found in Miller’s urine.

“We have now received news from VADA that Jarrell Miller has now failed a second separate test for a further substance,” Hearn stated as he continues the search for a replacement,

“AJ’s June 1 opponent will be announced next week. If you don’t think you can beat him clean then delete my number!”

‘Big Baby’ had released a passionate statement just 24 hours earlier. Miller said: “I want to thank all of my supporters who have stood by me since day one. Especially during this extremely difficult time.

“I have not been tuned in to social media and any other media outlets to focus, channel all of my energies into working hard with no distractions.

“I’m absolutely devastated upon hearing the news my boxing license has been revoked in NY State. I will be vigorously appealing this decision.

“I have NEVER knowingly taken any banned substance and when I found out the news last night I was totally shocked.

“My team and I stand for integrity, decency and honesty. Together we will stand to fight this with everything we have!

VOLUNTARY

“This was a voluntarily test that I was very happy to do. These results came just one week after another voluntarily test that I had taken which was completely clean.

“I refuse to just lie down. To let my dream be taken away from me when I know in my heart that I’ve done nothing wrong.

“Fifteen years of hard work. I’m a WARRIOR .. I don’t need a banned substance!

“Remember don’t believe everything you hear and see. The facts will prevail and I shall be vindicated.

“I don’t have anything to hide. The truth will make itself known,” he added.

With his career in tatters, it’s hard to see how Miller can avoid a lengthy ban for the adverse findings in question.

For Joshua, a fight against Michael Hunter seems increasingly likely as the former cruiserweight seems the only US candidate able to come in at such late notice.
