The debut of the current star of boxing in the United States, Anthony Joshua has revolutionized the heavy ones from all latitudes, run several names through the media, and touched one of the elites of the division, Luis Ortiz.

This has awakened great joy in the Cuban fans to see this heavyweight in action.

The chance that Cubans can have one of their own on stage before the most sought-after man in the boxing world. Not only is concrete in Ortiz, a promising young but brilliant shine of a champion who is handled at the negotiating table with Eddie Hearn is Frank Sanchez.

Sanchez received a message from his manager yesterday afternoon. He was asked about his willingness to fight against Joshua. Sanchez did not wait for the reaction of a more than positive response:

“Not only am I willing to face him, but I am sure I’ll beat him,” Sanchez told journalist Jorge Ebro. “I have a career that supports my words. Both amateur and professional. In Cuba and now here in the United States.”

Frank Sanchez not only beat Erislandy Savón (nephew of Felix Savón) who for several years had the Cuban supremacy. But literally stepped over him the same as in 2012 at the Olympics in London, fell into a controversial fight (17- 16) against Anthony Joshua.

“However, they never took him into account for despite being the national champion and integrating Team Cuba. A fact that caused his departure from the country.

“Joshua I don’t see how he can beat me. He is too clumsy and slow to be able to impose on my boxing in any distance we do,” said Sanchez.

DREAM

In conversation with his trainer Eric “El Tigre Castaño”, he did not stop expressing his joy.

“First I’m glad to see that Frank’s name is already handled at this level. I assure you that if we give ourselves this opportunity we will not let it go. Frank always had this dream, and it is his dream that is above everything”

Although their team maintains their hope. They assure that they will be ready for the date, the possibilities before so many names does not stop being a titanic struggle. Although its history is also of weight to take into account for such an important event.

The problem for this fight arose when findings were positive to a test of VADA for New Yorker opponent Jarrell Miller. He was stripped of his license by the Athletic Commission of New York.
