Social Media: Kash Ali attack footage, David Price bite quip wins Twitter

The fallout to Kash Ali’s astonishing bite antics against David Price has been the talk of social media since taking place on Saturday.

Reaction to the distasteful chomp was eye-opening enough after witnessing it live in the M & S Bank Arena. Whilst the backlash against Ali has been ongoing.

First of all it was an indefensible action, for which Ali was correctly thrown out. It’sleft the heavyweight’s career in tatters.

A lengthy suspension is set to follow. Ali can also expect a sizable fine into the bargain.

Tony Bellew stated in his Sky Sports role that Ali should never be allowed to box again. ‘The Bomber’ was clearly livid on TV.

Meanwhile, respected fight journalist Gareth A. Davies branded the Birmingham fighter ‘utterly disgusting’ after his disqualification.

Price himself ruled out a rematch. He said he ‘won’t share a ring with an animal’ again.

As Ali attempted to sneak out of the arena after the events, all hell broke loose. The 27 year-old was pelted with beer and insults. But the scenes got quite ugly when a fan jumped towards Ali and tried to attack him.

The fan was swiftly removed by security, who did a top job on the night. There’s no doubting that Ali got the message from the Liverpool supporters.

Even promoter Eddie Hearn offered his own advice to Ali in the aftermath.

‘Rule #1 – Don’t bite a Scouser in Liverpool,” said the Matchroom boss.

Commentator John Rawling used Mike Tyson v Evander Holyfield in his post when stating: “Ķash Ali took the same escape tunnel as Iron Mike against Evander. And he paid a price. Over to the BBBofC. An awful action that has to be punished.”

Price stablemate Anthony Sims Jr. offered his own ‘priceless’ view on things. The boxer’s Instagram clip was shared by streaming service DAZN.

Isaac Chamberlain waded in with his own joke. It invovled Matchroom taking on food service Deliveroo as their sponsor for the event.

“OK, so you get @Deliveroo in as a sponsor. No wonder Kash Ali is gonna get the munchies! HAHAHA.”

HALAL

The undisputed winner of Twitter has been unveiled as Raj Sandhar. The post was live just a short time after the Price v Ali fight ended.

Sandhar has claimed the social post crown. His belter has now been shared thousands of times.

He simply asked: “Is David Price even halal?’

Referencing Ali’s status as a Muslim who can only eat the permissible meat.

Hands down, Sandhar won’t be beaten with that comment. The quip has been greeted with cries of ‘genius’. Not to mention a bucket full of crying-laughing emojis since.

Hats off to Raj. It’ll be tough to top it.
