Mike Dixon of Vegas Sports Daily has released a statement on what has been described as a ‘forceful kiss’ by Kubrat Pulev on journalist Jenny Sushe.

Pulev, upon defeating Bogdan Dinu in California on Saturday night, was interviewed one-on-one by Sushe.

It wasn’t the first time during fight week the pair had interacted.

Right at the end of the conversation, a clearly excited Pulev planted a smacker of the lips of Sushe, who looked taken aback by the lunge.

Outrage has since followed after Pulev’s actions were branded ‘barbaric’ and ‘disgraceful’ in some quarters.

In an era of female’s fighting for equality and respect, not only in sport, Pulev has been condemned for his part.

Sushe is yet to comment, whilst Dixon made it clear an investigation was underway.

Good Morning,

On March 23, 2019 following the match between Kubrat Pulev and Bogdan Dinu, one of our contributors, Jenny Sushe was the victim of an unwanted, unexpected and unsolicited forceful kiss by Kubrat Pulev as she was attempting to conduct an interview with him following the match.

We are working around the clock with Jenny Sushe, and Pulev’s management team to further investigate the matter. To determine appropriate steps/actions following this unfortunate event.

We will be communicating further details as we uncover them. – Mike Dixon, Vegas Sports Daily

Pulev’s only interactions since the incident was to thanks his fans for their support.

The former world title challenger and current Anthony Joshua mandatory defeated Dinu in seven rounds after a scare.

Thank you, Bulgarians!

I want to thank you from the heart to all the people who supported me and my brother today (Tervelm who won on points at The Hangar).

To those who were with us in the hall – you are unique!

To those who stayed up all night and sent us positive energy from thousands of miles away. Fingers crossed in front of the TV. You are my wealth!

To all of you – my loved ones, friends, acquaintances and stranger people – a huge thank you!

Many of you I don’t know personally, but I bow to you for the faith you send us. People, I love you from all my heart!

It’s boxing. That’s what happens (you get cut). I haven’t had my whole life before, but I was perfectly prepared. The cut itself wasn’t a big problem because I knew what I could do.

I just had to show patience. Thanks to my cutman in my corner he did a wonderful job.

Everything that’s trying to knock us down is actually coming as a test of our will. It will make us even stronger.

Thank you to those who were with me. Thank you to those who didn’t want me to win. They also help me, make me even stronger. – Kubrat Pulev
