Omar Juarez back in action this weekend in Minnesota

Welterweight prospect Omar “El Relampago” Juarez (1-0) of Brownsville, Texas, returns this Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Juarez will square off against Phillip Percy in a four-round bout, on the undercard of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FS1, headlined by Anthony “The Dog” Dirrell (32-1-1, 23 KOs) vs. Avni Yildirim (21-1, 12 KOs) for the vacant WBC super-middleweight title.

Juarez, a 19-year-old amateur standout has his sights set on becoming a star, as he enters his second pro fight working with PBC brand, the industry leader in the sport.

“I am excited to live out my dream, to be able to compete and have a chance to dominate at the highest levels,” said Omar Juarez. “This next fight will be one step closer to becoming a world champion, as that is my dream. I am grateful to be on such a big card and the fans will see me perform at my highest level.”

Juarez, who is also a motivational speaker when he is not boxing, is looking to have his action in the ring lead others to follow their dreams.

“Dreams do come true, and I’m living mine now,” continued Juarez. “I can be living proof for people in my area that working hard can get you to any place in life you wish to go. This training camp has been great I know what I need to do to get the knockout. I believe with the right execution of my game plan, I will get my first career professional knockout.”
