The first Heavyweight ratings of 2019 were released by the World Boxing Council this week. As usual, WBN takes a closer look at the top division in January.

The Top 15, from which a voluntary can be chosen the title-holder, is largely unchanged from December.

Dereck Chisora moves down from 7th to 12th following his crushing knockout loss to WBC number one Dillian Whyte.

Therefore, several other contenders, including Alexander Povetkin and Agit Kabayel, move up a place.

Whyte stays at the top, with Tyson Fury behind. Cuban Luis Ortiz is still third-ranked, with mandatory challenger Dominic Breazeale fourth.

Joseph Parker rounds out the top five places.

Further down, Nathan Gorman moves past Hughie Fury following his victory over Razvan Cojanu.

Fury drops from 22 to 24, whilst Lucas Browne heads down one place.

US-based Nigerian Efe Ajagba keeps his place despite the leapfrog movement from Gorman.
