World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has once again been accused of landing an opponent on the cheap.
The three-belt titleholder is on the lookout for a credible challenge for an April 13 date at Wembley Stadium and has the option of competing in the USA for the first time.
If AJ decides to go his usual UK route, Dillian Whyte has been touted for a rematch.
Despite being KO’d by Joshua convincingly in the past, Whyte has earned his second chance with victories over Lucas Browne, Joseph Parker and more recently Derek Chisora.
As Joshua bids for a Wembley sell-out, Whyte has accused his compatriot and stablemate of sending another lowball offer.
“There’s been a first offer but it is utterly ridiculous,” Whyte told Jim White on talkSPORT, “It’s way less than what I made against Chisora basically.
“It is a ridiculous offer. They’re not serious about the fight. I don’t think they want the fight, I think they just made an offer to cover ground.
“It’s just silly. I’m a pay-per-view fighter now in the UK, which I’ve built by myself against all the odds.
“It’s not like I’m a journeyman. I’ve had nine fights since I fought him. I won them all in spectacular fashion.
“I don’t think he wants to fight me. There are easier paydays out there for him. He knows that I will bring problems to his mum’s house, so he doesn’t want it.”

Whyte’s comments come on the back of Anthony Joshua offering Deontay Wilder a $15m deal to face him earlier this year.
Wilder rejected the bid initially before backtracking in the hope of landing the chance to become undisputed.
Joshua sent over the offer, although it only included a rematch clause for himself. The contract didn’t give Wilder a second fight if they drew.
This isn’t the case with Tyson Fury, who battled to a stalemate with Wilder last month. The pair will do battle again in the coming months.
The latest Whyte debacle won’t help Joshua’s reputation as the Briton is now constantly accused of ducking Wilder and Fury on social media.
One of the biggest earners in the sport, Joshua has the power to secure any foe he wants. But only if he’s willing to pay the going rate.
