UFC’s ‘Ricky Hatton’ Paddy Pimblett Twitter banned after Drake win

UFC’s Paddy Pimblett saw his Twitter account suspended after his latest victory and helping Drake win a huge bet.

Pimplett played his part in winning UFC’s version of Ricky Hatton a cool $1.5m on the double ‘Scouser Parlay” on Saturday evening.

UFC London, taking place at the O2 Arena in the UK’s capital, saw Pimplett win via submission to clinch a stunning $2.2m outlay by the singer.

Drake placed a mammoth stake, ironically at Stake, which saw him scoop one and a half big ones.

Molly McCann, known as ‘Meatball Molly,’ also helped the score as the second part of Drake’s wager.

McCann won via spinning elbow just as she did in her previous triumph.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this in combat sport in the UK getting behind female athletes,” said McCann. “It’s those walkouts – it’s that energy which gets you the finishes [like the ending].

“I will not let you down. I’m not Everton Football Club. Have you ever seen lightning strike twice?”

McCann added in a plug for a whiskey brand after the fight: “Paddy wanted the German doner. Molly wanted the Howler Head [whiskey].

“I’ve had half a bottle of whiskey. How do you like me now? I’ve drunk as much as or more than last time. I know I’m bladdered”.

Drake Bet and Mental Health

Pimblett, to his credit, used his victory over Jordan Leavitt to raise awareness for mental health.

“I want to dedicate this fight to little baby Lee. He’s a little warrior, more of a fighter than any of us will ever be,” he said.

“I woke up on Friday morning at 4 am to a message that one of my friends had [died]. So Ricky lad, that’s for you.

“There’s a stigma in this world that men can’t talk. Listen, if you’re a man, please speak to someone, speak to anyone. I’d rather my mate cry on my shoulder than go to his funeral next week.”

Comparisons to Hatton stem from Pimblett’s ballooning in weight in between fights. Hatton did similar on his run to facing Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in the mid-2000s.

The Liverpool man has since faced caution to stop the practice to have a more prolonged spell at the top of the UFC tree.

Drake stated he’d buy both Pimblett and McCann Rolex watches after winning him the money.
