Andy Ruiz Jr weight loss: Looks unrecognizable, getting shredded

Andy Ruiz Jr weight loss is a big talking point as he has looked in shape. It proved to be a smokescreen.

This time, there’s a video to prove it.

“The Destroyer” is getting shredded by using planking in training as he prepares to face Luis Ortiz on September 4.

Ruiz will be headlining another Pay Per View as Al Haymon attempts to build the former world heavyweight champion towards a potential fight with Deontay Wilder.

In 2019, the Mexican-American presented several images of himself seemingly dropping weight. It turned out to be smoke and mirrors as Ruiz had actually piled on the pounds since becoming champion.

There’s no denying in the video that Andy Ruiz Jr. is heading towards being ripped and ready for Ortiz.

He can’t wait to put another year and more inactivity behind him this fall.

“I’m so excited to get back in the ring in front of all of my fans in Los Angeles on September 4,” said Ruiz. ”

This is my chance to prove to everyone that I will be the heavyweight champion of the world again.

“I’m super motivated to be facing a great fighter like Luis Ortiz. My fans can expect to see me at my best.

Tom Brown, President of TGB Promotions, said the headliner would be topping a huge night of action.

“The fight fans in Los Angeles are in for an action-packed Labor Day Weekend as Southern California’s Mexican-American star Andy Ruiz Jr. returns in his toughest test since his title run.

“He goes up against the always dangerous Cuban southpaw Luis Ortiz on September 4,” said Brown.

“This is a perfect clash for the electric atmosphere at Arena and will deliver fireworks.

“The FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View main event will again prove that a high-stakes heavyweight action is a must-see.

“Adding in a slew of intriguing undercard matchups and this will be a night that will keep fans glued to their seats from start to finish.”
