Ink dry on one of boxing’s biggest unification super-fights in 2022
Contracts are in for one of boxing’s biggest unification fights in 2022. WBC and IBF super-featherweight champions Oscar Valdez and Shakur Stevenson are ready for a fight.
This spring, boxing fans will be able to sit back and enjoy two undefeated belt holders taking to the ring for a bonafide two-belt battle.
A target date of April 30 was set out for Valdez vs. Stevenson but is as yet unconfirmed. Top Rank expects to reveal details in the coming days.
Valdez holds an impressive 30-0 record with 23 stoppages and is a two-division ruler. Stevenson, 17-0, is also a two-weight ruler at both 126 and 130 pounds.
Reports the pair are set to go up against the Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor women’s fight have circulated for weeks.
If that happens, boxing fans are assured that the start times of both main events will not conflict.

Taking to social media to confirm signatures are on the paperwork, Stevenson said he’s ready to trade blows.
“Contract signed. Just tune on April 30th and watch me work now,” he said.
Valdez posted a video of himself in the gym where he continues to work for the super-fight.
