Daniel Mendes to battle Nick Parpa on July 6 at York Hall

33 year old Southern Area Cruiserweight Champion Daniel Mendes looks to cement his position as a fighter aiming for bigger titles and bigger names when he makes a voluntray defence of his title against “Nightmare” Nick Parpa at the Steve Goodwin promoted “FISTS OF FURY” card on 6th July 2019 at York Hall.

Mendes put in a highly impressive peofrmance winning the title against Danny Couzens in March 2019 where he only dropped one round in a conclusive victory

“I did not want a soft defence” said Daniel. My manage told me that Nick was asking for the fight and I was prepared to oblige.

For Parpa this is his first attempt at a title. He boasts a record of 8-1 with his only loss being against Vasil Ducar who competes for the World Cruiserweight title in June this year.

“I was on top against Ducar until I walked onto a shot and look at what he has achieved since.” Parpa has stopped 5 of his 8 victims inside the distance.

However this mouth watering bout is not simply a boxer v puncher contest. It is a fight that will shape the career of both men with the winner going onto fight at an even higher level.

There is some of the countries leading prospects on show on the undercard.
