World Boxing News dives into the world of internet search history by compiling a list of the most Googled boxers out there at the moment.

Classified as active, Floyd Mayweather Jr. leads the way due to continued speculation he may return. Mayweather also fought on New Year’s Eve in an exhibition.

Mayweather tops a list of some of the biggest names around, all of whom are joined by the conspicuous presence of one Dave Allen.

The likeable British heavyweight surprisingly makes the top ten as his reputation continues to soar on home soil.

Second to Mayweather comes career rival Manny Pacquiao, followed by Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez.

Due to his involvement in a fight with Canelo on May 4th, Danny Jacobs comes in at fourth place. Fifth spot goes to Amir Khan.

The Bolton welterweight is more searched than Terence Crawford despite suffering defeat to the American last weekend.

Sandwiched between the 147 pounders is heavyweight ruler Anthony Joshua. The four-belt title holder came in just behind compatriot Khan.

Gennady Golovkin takes eighth place ahead of WBC heavyweight title holder Deontay Wilder.

Then comes a stunning entry by Dave Allen fresh from knocking out Lucas Browne in London.

The top female by some margin is Katie Taylor. The lightweight champion is just outside the first ten.

Michael Hunter receives a massive boost after being linked to a fight with Anthony Joshua, whilst Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. remains a popular figure despite recent inactivity.

Tyson Fury comes next ahead of his Las Vegas debut.

Fury battles Tom Schwarz on June 15 at the MGM Grand on the world-famous Strip.

Making up the top twenty are Vasyl Lomachenko, young prospect Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, Jarrell Miller and Sergey Kovalev.
