Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has offered his prediction should an undisputed unification go ahead between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.
Speaking as he plans for star heavyweight Tyson Fury to face Tom Schwarz on June 15 in Las Vegas, Arum was in bullish mood.
On the back of stating Joshua should leave Eddie Hearn and DAZN behind, Arum predicted an explosive ending to any future Wilder clash.
Joshua and Wilder continue to be kept apart by boxing politics. But if they do eventually meet, Arum sees a knockout finish.
“(Anthony) Joshua is a very, very good fighter as is Wilder, they’re all good,” Arum exclusively told World Boxing News.
“Joshua you know, it remains to be seen. His chin isn’t the greatest. If Wilder hits him on the chin then it’s goodbye Joshua, I think. It remains to be seen (if they fight).
Arum is never one for mincing his words, and despite offering to sign AJ, is happy with his top investment in Fury.
‘The Gypsy King’ will have Arum as the driving force behind capitalizing on enhancing his reputation in a draw with Wilder last December.
Fury got up from the brink of disaster and a hellacious punch by ‘The Bronze Bomber’ to astonish American audiences.
Add to that the fact that Fury’s Pay-Per-View debut garnered over 300,000 buys. The 30 year-old now has the chance to stay relevant in the public eye stateside.
Given many current factors, Arum is convinced Fury is the standout competitor from the top division trio.

“It remains to be seen (if they fight each other) but I think Fury is the best. He’s the savviest and the most complete fighter,” said the former Muhammad Ali handler.
“Fury got a little careless when he got knocked down by Wilder, who’s a tremendous puncher. But he clearly outboxed Wilder for the entire fight,” he added.
Hopes a rematch will still happen in 2019 are fading by the second. Fury battling Schwarz underlines an intention to face lesser opponents for the time being.
Schwarz should be an easy victory for Fury, before another potential also-ran foe later in the year.
The likes of Kubrat Pulev and Joseph Parker, both of whom have ties to ESPN, are longer-term encounters for the British star.
