Joshua Buatsi produces a cold finish on Liam Conroy to win the British title. Buatsi appeared flash and calculated wasting no shots that were thrown to Conroy.
Conroy started to dodge and counter in the second round. But Buatsi reacted with an abundance of punches which flicked back the head of Conroy.
In the third, Buatsi countered with a right hand followed by a left hook to drop Conroy. Rising to his feet but dazed, Buatsi produced a peach of a right hand to drop Conroy again and end the fight shortly after at 1:53 of round three.
Lawrence Okolie came out the successor of his grudge match with Wadi Camacho via a fourth round stoppage.
The first three rounds showed Okolie’s eagerness to land the right hand. Shots were fired but with not much accuracy at first, having Okolie receiving a warning from the ref for shots behind the head.
From the fourth Okolie set out to end it. Using his signature right hand, he pummelled Camacho followed by sweeping shots to make the first knockdown.
As soon as Camacho rose to his feet, Okolie was straight back to business. A straight right sent Camacho backward where the fight was stopped at 2:00 in round four.
German Benitez was more than game for the ‘Sandman’ Lewis Ritson. Both men marched forward early on in a battle of power punches.
Ritson landed a straight right in the third which blasted the mouth guard out of Benitez’s mouth. Ritson was unable to catch the Argentinian early bar this instance.
Showing no sign of slipping shots, Ritson was being caught often before firing on the offensive.
Benitez was still actively throwing to keep himself in the fight. But Ritson was edging the control, leading to a unanimous decision with scores of 99-91, 98-92 x2.
Irishman Jason Quigley comfortably beat Mathias Eklund inside two rounds. Eklund bounced off the jab of Quigley before the Irishman unloaded with a barrage of shots forcing the Finnish man to a corner before the referee called an end to the contest at 1:03.
Shannon Courtenay has a sharp start to her professional debuting outpointing Cristina Busuioc 40-36.
Courtenay heated things up in the Copper Box with a few straight right hands which wobbled Busuioc throughout the fight.
Busuioc didn’t have much input in the fight but survived the Baby Face Assassin’s frequent attacks.
