Kieran Smith is confident he’ll have the answers for anything Adam Harper attempts to do when the two men meet at MTK Fight Night in Glasgow on March 22.
Smith (13-0-KO6) defends his WBC International Silver belt against Harper on a packed bill at the Emirates Arena, and he feels he’ll have all the tools needed to win the contest.
Smith said: “We’re two weeks away now and preparations have gone great. I’m ready to beat Adam Harper and I think I can beat him any way that I want.
“If he chooses to stand and box me then he’s got no chance of doing that, and if he wants to make it a fight then there’s only one man here who can punch and that’s me. I’m a much bigger guy than him and I can push him about if I want, so it’s up to me how the fight pans out.
“With that said, he’s still my toughest opponent to date, but performance wise I think that will bring the best out of me. He’s the English champion and I’m getting these bigger fights now which is good.
“We’re back at the Emirates Arena again and that has become a kind of home for MTK in Scotland, and it keeps growing and growing with every show that we have there.”
The card in Glasgow also sees Iain Butcher challenge Scott Allan for the Celtic bantamweight title, while the likes of David Brophy, Lewis Benson, Michael McGurk, Reece McFadden and Jack Turner are in action too.
