Dillian Whyte wants a world heavyweight title shot promise from Eddie Hearn in order to remain at Matchroom Boxing moving forward.
First of all, a similar set-up was afforded to Jarrell Miller. This will come to fruition on June 1 in New York against Anthony Joshua.
The Briton has been linked with a move away from his long-time UK base. Whyte has reportedly been offered a huge contract with Top Rank and ESPN.
Under the terms of the deal, Whyte would be in line for a massive Pay-Per-View clash with Tyson Fury in the future.
Breaking his silence on reports the ESPN agreement is close to being confirmed, Whyte didn’t rule out remaining with Hearn on Sky Sports.
“Progression and is a must. Eddie Hearn and Sky Sports just need to pull there finger out. (They need to) land me a world title shot on good terms. So we have another world champion in the UK,” said Whyte.
Whyte’s demands come on the back of the Londoner recently turning down a shot at Joshua’s clutch of title belts.
WBN understands Whyte was offered over £5 million for a rematch with Joshua. Whyte wanted upwards of £7 million.
Add to that the fact Whyte turned down eliminators with Luis Ortiz (World Boxing Council) and Kubrat Pulev (International Boxing Federation). It’s now hard to see how ‘The Bodysnatcher’ will be able to land a title shot without going through the mandatory process.
Furthermore, an interim WBC battle with Dominic Breazeale was called off recently. Although Ortiz is an option to replace the American. Only if Whyte wants to accept a fight with the Cuban this time around.
At present the two main world champions are out of commission. Whyte is also not in the picture for WBA ruler Manuel Charr.
UK rival Joe Joyce looks set to land a shot at the ‘regular’ title holder later this year.

All this means Whyte’s orders to Hearn and Matchroom could become impossible to fulfill.
Even signing with ESPN won’t bring any gold Whyte’s way. Furthermore, Fury is only in possession of the Lineal crown. A championship which is not recognized in some quarters.
It will interesting to see what direction Whyte moves in as a second fight with Joshua almost looks further away than ever.
As a result, another big decision will need to be made.
