Roc Nation Sports today announced that three of the agency’s rising stars and future champions – heavyweight fighter Darmani Rock (13-0, 8 KOs), featherweight fighter Tramaine Williams (15-0, 5 KOs) and light heavyweight fighter Junior Younan (14-0-1, 10 KOs) – will return to the ring in their first matches of 2019.
Rock (13-0, 8 KOs) will compete on February 8th in his hometown of Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena, taking on Louisiana’s Steven Lyons (5-3, 2 KOs) in a six-round bout.
This will be Rock’s fourth time fighting in Philadelphia within the last year and second consecutive bout at the 2300 Arena. Rock’s last match in October 2018, saw the heavyweight fighter defeat Pedro Julio Rodriguez of Cuba via TKO 4.
Meanwhile, on February 23rd at the Genetti Manor in Scranton, Pa., Tramaine Williams (15-0, 5KOs) will take on an opponent to be announced in a six-round bout. This will be Williams first fight since his release from prison in October 2018.
Prior to his sentencing, Williams was on the fast track to becoming one of the world’s best featherweight fighters. As a ten-time national amateur champion as well as a two-time Ringside World Champion and a four-time Silver Gloves Champion, Williams was destined for greatness even as an amateur.
At 19 years old he turned professional and easily defeated his first nine opponents leading to high hopes for the future.
Now that Williams is back and stronger than ever, he will take the stage in Pennsylvania to redeem himself and continue his path to stardom.
On March 9th, Brooklyn-native and light heavyweight fighter Junior Younan (14-0-1, 10 KOs) will compete in an eight-round match at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y., on the same card as fellow Roc Nation Boxing fighter and WBO Junior Welterweight Champion Maurice Hooker’s title defense against Mikkel LesPierre. Younan’s opponent will be announced in the near future.
Younan has become one of New York’s premiere hometown boxers, most recently defeating Colombia’s Evert Bravo via knockout at the King’s theater in Brooklyn, NY.
