Tyson Fury odds to face Anthony Joshua shorten, Dillian Whyte favorite

Former opponent Dillian Whyte is 6/4 favorite to be the man Anthony Joshua fights next on 13th April as Tyson Fury sees his odds shorten.

Three-belt world heavyweight champion Joshua remains the only loss on The Body Snatcher’s record. The betting suggests a rematch is firmly on the cards at 6/4.

The undefeated Jarrell Miller is second in the betting at 2/1 and would be competing for his first-world title.

Fury’s name won’t go away, and he also looks in the running at 3/1.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “We’ve known the date of Anthony Joshua’s next fight for months now. But we are still awaiting news of who he’ll be fighting.

“With the WBC ordering a rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, it looks as though Dillian Whyte will get a second shot at AJ.

“We make it 6/4 that The Body Snatcher is booked in for April 13th.

“Jarrell Miller is unbeaten in 24 fights, and he’s 2/1 to get his hands on Joshua. Tyson Fury is a 3/1 chance to scrap plans for a Wilder rematch and face AJ instead.”

Fury had been massive odds to battle his main UK rival until promoter Eddie Hearn stepped in with a huge offer.

Those fractions have since been squeezed down as the chances of the clash happening have improved.

WBN understands a straight cash purse of £15 million is on the table. However, Frank Warren has since dismissed any notion of accepting the deal.

‘The Gypsy King’ is holding out for a 50-50 deal for what would be the biggest heavyweight fight on British soil for some years.

Should Whyte be chosen, the fight will take place on April 13 at Wembley. An encounter with Miller would head to New York in June.

Miller’s promoter Dmitriy Salita told WBN that he’d heard nothing, meaning Whyte is firmly in the driving seat on Monday.
