Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi continued their beef over the weekend with a shocking exchange regarding bitching.
‘The Notorious’ one struck first, stating Malignaggi is going off for no apparent reason. It wasn’t long before Malignaggi struck back with what he says are home truths regarding the Irishman’s career and personal life.
On Friday, Malignaggi told WBN rumors of possible talks between the pair to meet in a boxing match in 2019 were untrue.
Some fans are disappointed the pair won’t settle their differences inside the ring.
Below is the exchange:
“Let the record show. I like Paulie Malignaggi. Here is a confrontation between us regarding a picture he was upset about.
“Yes, you heard that right, a picture.
“I told him here to his face. ‘Don’t be bitching’. Common knowledge I would think for a fighting man. Don’t be a bitch, bitching.
“The same thing I said to Khabib (Nurmagomedov) at the end of round three, my round. Don’t be bitching!
“Every single round bitching to the referee. He was even bitching in the fourth round from mount position. It baffled me.
“If anyone should have been saying anything to the referee, it should have been me in that first round. That round he held onto my legs for four minutes straight. With zero activity.
“But a fight is a fight who gives a f***? Crying to the referee like a proper bitch. I was trying to dig my fingers into his Adams Apple.
Many individuals in the fight business, I have learned lately, are absolute bitches.
“I know you’s are broke boys. But don’t be broke bitches,” he added.
Malignaggi’s retort was pretty brutal.
“For a guy that posts about bitch or bitchin an awful lot, it seems this guy doesn’t have a proper understanding of what the word means.
!So I found a recent clip of him exemplifying its definition in one cowardly act. ‘Let the record show’ that I do like Conor McGregor. Everyone loves a piñata and him being combat sports official piñata there’s plenty of entertainment there.
“I give him credit though. For a guy with absolutely NO BALLS, the woof tickets he sold to all you stupid mother****ers in recent years is amazing.
“He’s got a great talent for being a great bull**** artist. You can be rich, but you definitely a bitch you cokehead lush.
“So don’t let that shit you ingested on your Friday night cloud your memory of reality,” he concluded.
Whilst McGregor remains partially active following one fight (against Khabib) since facing Floyd Mayweather in 2017, Malignaggi has been retired from trading blows since March of that year.
Two years out of the ring could be a tough road to come back from. Although there are some who believe the event would sell on Showtime PPV quite handily.
At the end of the day, it’s up to the fighters themselves to decide. But their verbal jabs show no signs of dying down anytime soon.
