MTK Global is delighted to confirm the signing of former London ABA finalist Michael Elliott as he turns professional.
‘White Mike’ – a southpaw who trained by Brian O’Shaughnessy – is eager to begin his assault on the middleweight division having won titles during his time in military service.
Elliott said: “This is a proud moment for me. I’ve been boxing since I was eight years old, when my uncle introduced me to it. I started training at West Ham ABC and reached the London ABA final with my coaches Micky May and Brian O’Shaughnessy.
“I’m naturally a pressure fighter but I can box on the back foot too if and when required. I’ve got a good uppercut when I’m in close.
“I’m pleased to have joined up with the best in the business in MTK Global and I’m looking forward to making my debut to show people what I’m all about.”
Promoter Lee Eaton said: “We’re glad to welcome Michael to the team. The domestic middleweight scene is full of possibilities so we believe he’s bound to be in exciting fights.
“Our London and Essex shows are thriving at the moment and we look forward to Michael staying active on those as he looks to climb the rankings over the year ahead.”
Elliott will take his professional bow on the MTK Global show at York Hall on February 22 – live on iFL TV.
