Chris Eubank Jr. made slight favorite to defeat James DeGale on Feb 23

Chris Eubank Jr has been made favorite to overcome James DeGale in their February 23 clash at The O2 in London.

Eubank bids to become a two-time IBO super-middleweight champion. The Brighton man faces former Olympic champion DeGale and bookies at Betway believe he can do it.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “We’ve been waiting some time for this fight to be announced but it’s still extremely hard to call a favourite.

“Chris Eubank Jr is our marginal favourite at 8/11. James DeGale is not far away at 11/10 The draw is a little shorter than is often the case in boxing at 20/1.

“Though DeGale has more experience at the top level under his belt, there has to be question marks over whether he’s as sharp as he once was and Eubank Jr has a big point to prove after his defeat to George Groves.”
