John Bauza back in action this weekend in Atlantic City

It will mark Bauza’s first fight since May 4, when he defeated Hugo Padilla in a six-round unanimous decision victory (60-54, 60-54, 60-54) at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany, N.J. With a win over Bogar, Bauza would secure his third victory of the calendar year.

Bogar will be coming off a much longer lay-off than Bauza, considering Saturday’s fight will mark his first appearance in the ring in over two years. He last fought on May 16, 2016, when he was knocked out by Maxim Dadashev in the fourth round of a six-round bout.

The timing for Bauza’s fight also has sentimental significance, especially since this time last September, the 20-year-old’s training in Puerto Rico was disrupted by Hurricane Maria. Bauza was ultimately forced to evacuate the island with his family and take time off before resuming his professional in December 2017.

Tickets can be purchased at RisingBoxingPromotions.com. Ringside tickets are $125.00 and reserved tickets are $80.00.
