WATCH: Sylvester Stallone ‘99% certain’ Floyd Mayweather accepts Manny Pacquiao rematch challenge

Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, who portrays his iconic character for an eighth time this Thanksgiving in ‘Creed II’, was asked his thoughts on whether he believes the clash will happen on the back of a drab affair in 2015.

“I think it’s about 99% certain it’s gonna happen,” Stallone told TMZ Sports. “They have every reason — honor, money, history and you got nothing better to do for the weekend.”

‘MayPac’ remains the most lucrative Pay-Per-View battle of all time despite a close challenge by Mayweather versus Conor McGregor in 2017 which led to the former pound for pound king announcing his retirement on 50-0.

Despite this fact, Pacquiao is still interested in enticing his old rival back.

Following his win over Lucas Matthysse, which saw Pacquiao claim an eleventh world title, Pacquiao said: “Mayweather? If he decides to go back to boxing then that is the time we are going to call the shots.

“I have the belt, so it’s up to him. If he wants to come back in boxing let’s do a second one,” he added.

Speaking to WBN prior to the victory, Pacquiao had stated his interest in fighting Vasyl Lomachenko.

“Yes, of course, we are interested in that fight,” Pacquiao exclusively told World Boxing News.

“Vasyl Lomachenko just beat Jorge Linares and he has the lightweight belt now (which means we can fight for a title).

“Why not fight again in America? I have always been a fighter. If a good fight can be made anywhere, we will be there to accept this fight.

On the weight stipulation, he added: “I could take a fight with Lomachenko at 135, but that would be pushing me to my limits.”

Pacquiao v Lomachenko or even an encounter with Amir Khan seems far more likely to happen, although with Mayweather around – and still at a fighting age – you could never rule anything out.
