EXCLUSIVE: Lucas Browne says Joseph Parker fight was ‘NEVER A DRAW’, predicts Dillian Whyte WILL REMATCH Anthony Joshua

Saying that – ‘Big Daddy’ has blamed a lack of meticulous preparation for the crushing knockout and has taken plenty away from the reverse.

“I’ve taken the defeat for what it was. It was my fault for not being properly prepared and ready. I cannot blame anyone else but myself,” Browne exclusively told World Boxing News.

“Fair play to Dillian Whyte, he came in great shape and the better man won on the night.”

Asked his opinion on Whyte’s unanimous victory over rival Joseph Parker, Browne believes there have been unwarranted calls for a second fight.

“I haven’t watched the Whyte v Parker fight in full, to be honest, I’ve seen clips and it shows that Whyte was getting better,” he said.

“Whyte is one of the better fighters in the world at the moment but I personally would love a chance to fight Parker and test my skills against him.

“From what I’ve seen, the fight was never a draw and Whyte won it convincingly.”

On where Whyte could go next, Browne is convinced promoter Eddie Hearn is gearing all his heavyweight marbles towards a return with current heavyweight king Anthony Joshua.

“I think a rematch between Whyte and AJ was always on the cards and Whyte has done everything asked of him to secure that again.

“I also think that if Whyte gets himself in the shape he was for our fight he will do a lot better than he did the first time against Joshua,” added Browne.

A comeback bid for Browne was delayed from this summer until September following treatment for an injury suffered during the Whyte fight.
