World Boxing News provides Canelo v Rocky results from Madison Square Garden, New York, in the United States.

Remaining undefeated, Katie Taylor put on a masterclass performance to see off a rugged and determined Eva Wahlstrom.

Taylor, defending her unified lightweight titles against an unbeaten super-featherweight ruler, was never in any danger.

Slick combinations and the trademark superb footwork enabled Taylor to dominate each and every round against Wahlstrom.

A clash of heads opened up a cut on Wahlstrom’s forehead before punches in the final round saw a nick happen on the corner of the Finn’s eye.

Cards read 100-90 across the board after ten times two-minute rounds, mimicking the live WBN scorecard.

With the victory, Taylor pushes to 12-0 and could now be in for the biggest year of her career.

A unification against Delfine Persoon and a massive match-up with Amanda Serrano are in the pipeline for 2019.

Taylor’s brilliance was followed up by a star prospect on the Golden Boy roster in Ryan Garcia.

The youngster, boasting a massive social media following, is touted as the next big thing by Oscar De La Hoya.

‘Kingry’ almost got the job done in the very first session with a huge shot that dropped Braulio Rodriguez hard.

Rodriguez somehow got up and began rough-house tactics, unorthodox dancing and low blows in order to stop Garcia.

It proved successful for a few rounds until Garcia trapped him on the ropes and ended the fight in the fifth.

Garcia moves to 17-0.

FARMER

Tevin Farmer failed to warm up to crowd before the main event as he blew hot and cold against Francisco Fonseca.

Looking great at times, the super-featherweight world champion seemed to allow Fonseca off the hook at times.

In the end, Fonseca made it to the final bell. Farmer got the decision 117-111 on all three cards.

In another drab and forgettable affair prior to the Farmer v Fonseca encounter, Sadam Ali out-pointed Mauricio Herrera over ten sessions.

Lamont Roach Jr. survived a hairy final round to see out a decisive ten round points win over Alberto Mercado.

The super-featherweight moves on to bigger fights following a 99-91, 98-92, 97-93 victory on the scorecards.

In the super lightweight opener, Yves Ulysse Jr dominated Maximilliano Becerra for the eight rounds duration.

Dropping the Californian on more than one occasion late in the contest, Ulysse moved to 17-1 with relative ease.

The 30 year-old Canadian has now won three fights on the spin since suffering a first career reverse to Steve Claggett in October 2017.
