WBC ambassadors team up with LAPD for Toy Giveaway

Last night, December 12th, Former Champion “Bam Bam” Brandon Rios, 2016 U.S. Olympian Karlos Balderas and Jose Balderas joined WBC and LAPD Hollenbeck Division for their Annual Toy Giveaway in Boyle Heights, CA.

All three fighters are not from the Los Angeles area, but when asked for a helping hand, they did not hesitate to make the trip and help bring smiles to many families. Rios and The Balderas brothers helped many children pick a gift and take a photo with Santa Claus at the end.

” It’s about the kids, its always about the kids. When I saw how many hundreds of kids were there, I was just hoping there would be enough gifts for everyone and at the end, I’m was so happy there was.

No kid should be left without a toy during Christmas, I was ready to rush to the store if we ran out! I respect the LAPD Hollenbeck Division for all they do for the community and I will be happy to come back again, thank you WBC for inviting me to come” – Brandon Rios

” It was such a good experience helping the kids choose a gift they want for Christmas. For some it was hard to choose, I bet its a hard decision when there are so many fun things to choose from.

“When WBC asked us to come help give toys, we immediately said yes, even if it’s a long drive from Santa Maria, just thinking of the kids faces, their smiles, we didn’t even think twice.

“It’s tough to be a fighter, but to be a kid without a toy during Christmas is tougher, anything we can do to help, we are there.” – Karlos and Jose Balderas

Thank you Brandon Rios, Karlos and Jose Balderas for helping bring smiles to over 500 kids, on behalf of the WBC and LAPD!
