Unified Heavyweight World Champion Anthony Joshua has given his opinion on the forthcoming clash between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

Wilder defends his WBC title against Fury in Los Angeles, California. Arch-rival Joshua has spoken on the eve of the battle.

In an exclusive video for William Hill, AJ has revealed his prediction. The Londoner is confident Deontay Wilder will win Saturday night’s fight against Tyson Fury.

AJ, when asked who he thinks will triumph at The Staples Center, said: “Definitely Wilder.”

“He goes on to explain, “Fury’s had a long layoff, wasn’t fighting, and now he’s going to fight a championship fighter.

“The proofs in the pudding (referring to previous boxers who have had a long layoff before a fight) so I think Fury will lose, Wilder will win.”

Talks were held between Joshua and Wilder for a potential undisputed unified contest in 2018 but broke down over the summer.

Promoter Eddie Hearn hopes to pick things up again on December 2nd. That’s provided Joshua’s prediction comes true.

In the meantime, Joshua is playing the waiting game with an April 13th date already pencilled in for his Wembley return to action next year.

WHYTE v CHISORA 2

Joshua also has his say on the Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora fight, taking place on 22nd December. Calling it in an ‘elite level fight’, he declares himself ‘team Chisora all day, every day’.

Whyte and Chisora shared a grueling twelve rounds in 2016, with the former coming out on top.
