Billy Joe Saunders stands to gain a whopping £166,250 or $212,000 if friend Tyson Fury defeats Deontay Wilder.

The middleweight star waged a total of £70,000 in two separate bets of £20,000 and £50,000 on Fury to emerge victorious this weekend.

Saunders and Fury are great pals. Both have ring walked for each other in previous contests during their career.

The 29 year-old is expected to make the journey to the Staples Center in California over the next few days.

Saunders could be ringside to witness whether he will bank almost a quarter of a million dollars.

Fury’s odd have fluctuated since the fight with Wilder was announced. He began at 5/2 and has since been squeezed in several times.

The fact Fury is rumored to be set to weigh a career-low of under 245 pounds has something to do with it. Coupled with snaring the help of Freddie Roach and Ricky Hatton in his corner.

Wilder remains the favorite to retain his WBC strap at odds of 4/7 on.
