WBC Heavyweight Top 40 – Nov 18: Chisora, Yoka up

British heavyweight Dereck Chisora continues to push his case for a shot at Deontay Wilder in 2019 in the latest WBC Ratings.

With his new ‘WAR’ nickname in two, Chisora is at a recent career high of seven on the November list.

A rematch win over Dillian Whyte, the current number one contender, could see Chisora in line for a mandatory chance within a year.

Chisora (Pictured below by Mark Robinson) is now just one place behind former foe Agit Kabayel at the expense of Alexander Povetkin and Adam Kownacki. Both of whom fall one place.

Further down the list, Frenchman Tony Yoka moves up several places despite a one-year ban. Whilst, undefeated Brit Daniel Dubois moves from 28 to 26.

In a headscratcher, Joe Joyce drops from 25 to 30 despite completely annihilating Iago Kiladze on his US debut.

Young US-based Nigerian Efe Ajagba enhanced his standing considerably when entering the Top 40 for the first time at 23.

The 24 year-old won his seventh pro fight with a first round KO of Nick Jones back in September.

Poland’s Tomasz Adamek dropped off the list following his second round defeat to Jarrell Miller.
