This past Friday night, November 9, two of DiBella Entertainment’s top contenders, Eric “Baby Faced Assassin” Walker and Ievgen “The Ukrainian Lion” Khytrov scored victories with dominant performances on “The Contender: Season Five” Finale undercard at the Forum in Inglewood, CA.
In the televised co-feature on EPIX, Walker, of Plaquemine, LA, improved to 18-2 with eight knockouts, defeating Michael Moore (16-2, 7 KOs) over eight shutout rounds by scores of 80-73 and 80-72 twice.
Walker previously defeated John Jackson and John Thompson during “The Contender” tournament before losing a majority decision to eventual champion Brandon Adams in the semi-finals.
Also on the undercard, fighting out of Brooklyn, NY, Khytrov (18-2, 15 KOs) stopped Malcolm McAllister (9-3, 8 KOs) in the fourth round.
Khytrov dropped McAllister with a sensational combination before earning the referee’s stoppage at the 1:44 mark from a barrage of power punches.
Khytrov had also defeated Morgan Fitch as part of “The Contender” series this season.
