2016 Olympian Guido Vianello has signed an exclusive management deal with S Jam Boxing ahead of his pro debut at heavyweight, WBN can reveal.
The big Italian joins up with Joe Joyce co-managers Sam Jones and Adam Morallee. Vianello’s move comes on the back of training alongside his stablemate and former unified champion Tyson Fury at Big Bear Camp.
At 24 years old and almost two meters tall, Vianello has all the tools to make an impression in the top division ranks.
Jones is excited to have him on board.
“Adam and I are delighted to announce S-Jam Boxing’s latest signing in 2016 Olympian Guido Vianello. Guido has also signed a deal with hall of famer Bob Arum at Top Rank Promotions,” Jones exclusively confirmed to World Boxing News.
“At 24 years old he’s already achieved a lot. He will now be trained by Abel Sanchez. Guido been sparring Joe Joyce and Tyson Fury in preparation for his debut.
“We can also confirm this will be at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 8.
“Vasyl Lomachenko tops the bill against Jose Pedraza in a lightweight unification.
“We are very excited about Guido and wanted to sign him months ago when he first sparred Joe in London. Guido massively impressed us then and is still doing so now. We are certain he’s a future heavyweight champion of the world,” he added.
Working with the likes of Joyce and Fury can only help Vianello’s progression. The talented fighter’s move comes on the back of a stint in the World Series of Boxing with the Italian Thunder.
Boasting seven wins from the format, Vianello gained valuable experience. He shared the ring with the likes of Frazer Clarke and American veteran Cam Awesome over three years.
Being part of the Italian Boxing Team at the Rio Games two years ago was the highlight of Vianello’s amateur stint and will bode the Rome-born puncher on his quest to make a breakthrough in the paid ranks.
Vianello will continue to help Fury prepare for his forthcoming clash with Deontay Wilder on December before competing in a huge event himself one week later in New York.
