PANTOMIME BULL****!: Frampton blasts Whyte v Chisora 2 date clash

Carl Frampton responded immediately to the confirmation that Matchroom Boxing will stage a Pay-Per-View event on the same day as his world title fight.

The Irishman challenges Josh Warrington for the IBF featherweight title on December 22 at Manchester Arena. Whilst over at The 02 in London, Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora face-off in a rematch of their 2016 battle.

The night represents the first time Sky and BT Sport’s Box Office platforms go head-to-head with boxing events.

Fans are already upset at Eddie Hearn’s decision not to find an alternative date.

Frampton made his feeling plain on the subject via social media.

“Let the table throwing and other pantomime bullshit commence. I’ll keep preparing for a real fight,” said Frampton, pointing to the infamous press conference between Whyte and Chisora before the first meeting.

With four PPV’s before Christmas and a James DeGale v Chris Eubank Jr. fight to be announced for either side of the New Year, boxing punters are being hit in the pocket.

Oleksandr Usyk v Tony Bellew and Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury take place on November 10 and December 1 respectively.
