ASSASSIN BOXING TO PROMOTE ‘THE HOMECOMING’ AS RAY MOYLETTE CHALLENGES FOR THE WBC INTERNATIONAL TITLE ON DECEMBER 7th AT THE THEATRE, CASTLEBAR.

Former Amateur World & European Gold Medalist Ray Moylette will step up to 10 rounds for The WBC International Title, with a world ranking place at stake, along with the strap.

Ray Moylette who ditched the vest in 2017 after a sensational amateur record, now has a scintillating professional resume which includes 11 straight wins, without a single defeat to his name. The WBC International Lightweight Title will be on the line come December 7th, with a potential world ranking at stake, which will leave Moylette within touching distance of current world champion, Mikey Garcia.

The show, promoted by Ray’s management team, Assassin Boxing, will take place at The Royal Theatre in Castlebar in Mayo, which has a long history with boxing. Having held amateur internationals, it is also famous for hosting two of Henry Coyle’s fights.

Moylette’s opponent along with the full undercard will be officially announced next week.

While a full press conference will too be scheduled for the forthcoming weeks.

‘I’m honoured and excited to have the oppertunity to be fighting at home in Castlebar. Not only will I showcase my skills to all my local supporters but I also can lay down a real marker for all lightweights around the world as I challenge for my first title. This is the stuff dreams are made of. Fighting at home for a major belt.

This is my time to become a household name around Ireland as this event I believe will be televised and I am currently in full time camp preparing and making sure that we leave no stone unturned.

Through my amatuer and professional career most of my fights have been overseas and I’ve never got to share my experiences or triumphs with all who are dearest to me. This is an event for the community and I promise to leave everything in the ring. The roar of the crowed is like a third man in the ring, I will need the support of the boxing community and the people of Mayo to bring that belt home.

I’ve had a lot of ups and downs in boxing and life itself and I want to show what hard work can achieve. I want to be an ambassador for all young people chasing their dreams that if you keep working hard towards what you want no matter what obstacle comes in your way that you will be given the opportunity to seize it. I intend to do exactly that. I will become WBC international Champion on December 7th.
