Kell Brook has responded to Amir Khan’s taunt over a December 8 clash with Australian Michael Zerafa.
Khan blasted Brook for signing on to fight Zerafa upon his Sheffield return later this year. This comes on the back of failed exchanges on a weight stipulation for a PPV UK grudge match.
âYou mention me in all your interviews saying âI want to fight Khan nextâ. All the crying you do, then you go and fight another bum!â said Khan to Brook.
âWhatâs the delay Kelly? Youâre a joke. PS: You better not lose in December â I wonât be ringside!â
Brook has since snapped back at Khan. ‘The Special One’ wants the former super-lightweight king to accept his challenge for 2019.
“Who put 20p inside you last night?” asked Brook. “The âdelayâ has always been the same. I’m waiting for you to put your webcam down and find your bollocks!
“And of course you wonât be Ringside! This is what happens whenever youâre within a five-mile radius of me,” he added posting a picture of Khan competing in a challenge on I’m A Celebrity.
For now, Khan v Brook (Pictured above by Lawrence Lustig and Mark Robinson) is firmly on hold as both sides continue to stand firm on their respective stipulations.
From a rehydration clause in a 147 pound deal, to a catchweight of around 150 pounds. The pair are nowhere nearer reaching an agreement.
This is despite Eddie Hearn signing a three-fight contract with Khan that was geared towards Brook being that third and final opponent.
Stalling in a bid to be in the mix to land a long-awaited battle with former training partner Manny Pacquiao, Khan has once again been left disappointed.
Pacquiao is set to face Adrien Broner in Las Vegas in the New Year before a rematch with Floyd Mayweather later in the spring.
With Mayweather eyeing an interim fight himself before Pacquiao, Khan’s only other hope is that the ex-pound for pound number one has a change of heart on meeting him in the ring.
Previously being promised a Mayweather clash before the contest fell apart, Khan is still keen on proving he can cut it with the ‘Money’ man.
Mayweather is currently being linked to a cross-codes battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov, although not many believe that fight will ever get over the line.
