Anthony Laureano named Connecticut HOF Fighter of the Year

STAR BOXING and East Hartfords own, “ACTION” ANTHONY LAUREANO (9-0 3KO’s) was honored by the CONNECTICUT BOXING HALL OF FAME on Friday night at MOHEGAN SUN, as the PROFESSIONAL FIGHTER OF THE YEAR.

Laureano has had a fantastic, and busy 2018, having already fought three times, and will be looking to round out the year with a fourth bout in November.

He kicked off his 2018 in April, fighting tough prospect Tobias Green in Massachusetts. Laureano, as always, was non-stop action in the ring, earning an exciting victory.

Laureano went on to dominate Juan Rodriguez at Mohegan Sun Arena, on the undercard of headliner Joe Smith Jr., at “SLUGFEST at the SUN”, followed by a unanimous decision win against Marquis Hawthorne at Star Boxing’s “Rockin’ Fights” at The Paramount.

Star Boxing CEO, JOE DEGUARDIA, who was inducted into the Connecticut Boxing Hall Of Fame in 2013, had this to say about Laureano’s great honor, “All of us at Star Boxing are extremely proud of Anthony and congratulate him on his well deserved honor.

“Anthony is a great person, inside and outside of the ring, and this honor could not have gone to a better person.”
