Zolani Tete, Andrew Tabiti into World Boxing Super Series semis

‘The Last Born’ Zolani Tete is the first fighter into the bantamweight semis for the Ali Trophy after victory in Russia.

Keeping a firm grip on his WBO bantamweight title, Tete out-pointed Mikhail Aloyan to states his case at the Season 2 champion.

After twelve competitive rounds, the judges carded in favor of Tete 114-111 (twice) and 114-110 on the cards.

Andrew Tabiti booked his place in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweights for Season 2 with a 116-111, 115-112, 114-113 points win over Ruslan Fayfer.

Tabiti, a Mayweather Promotions member of ‘The Money Team’ keeps his undefeated record together as Fayfer (23-1) loses his.


UNDERCARD

Vladimir Shishkin stopped former world title challenger Nadjib Mohammedi in the tenth round of their super middleweight contest.

Retaining his fringe version of the WBA title, the amateur star moved to 8-0 as a professional.

One-time heavyweight contender Andrey Fedosov continued his good form with a seventh straight victory.

The Russian, who has shared the ring with the likes of Bryant Jennings and Lenroy Thomas, gained a decision over Polish-American Joey Dawejko.

Despite Dawejko recently calling out Joe Joyce, Fedosov ended any chances of a future fight between the pair.

In a battle of two 15-0 super welterweights, Magomed Kurbanov overcame Juan Rodriguez after ten rounds.

Also on the bill, cruiserweight Yury Kashinsky took just three sessions to get rid of Juan Basualdo and move to 17-0, whilst bantamweight Nikolai Potapov halted Khumoyun Rustamov.

Unheralded bantamweight Zafar Parpiev recorded the best win of his career with a unanimous verdict against Jake Bornea.

Zarpiev is now 6-1 as Bornea drops to 14-3.

Undefeated middleweight Magomed Madiev improved to 12-0-1  with a unanimous ten round decision victory over Azamat Ergashev.

In the process, Ergashev lost a third contest from his thirteen outings.

At super featherweight, Stanislav Kalitskiy made six wins as a pro with a points triumph over Jestoni Autida.
