WATCH: Deontay Wilder goes in on Anthony Joshua during LIVE UK TV interview

Good Morning Britain

Deontay Wilder made an appearance on live UK TV on Monday morning alongside forthcoming opponent Tyson Fury.

The pair opened up a press push ahead of a three-city tour by filling a segment of popular show ‘Good Morning Britain’.

Both fighters kept their cool for the majority of the interview with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid until Wilder was asked about Anthony Joshua.

Failing negotiations, detailed through contact with WBN over the summer, culminated in Joshua fighting and defeating Alexander Povetkin on September 22.

As a result, Wilder contacted Fury’s promoter Frank Warren and a deal was done in no time at all. In contrast, Wilder pointed out his wasted four months attempting to secure a clash with AJ.

Offering $50 million wasn’t enough to entice Joshua out of his comfort zone and over to the US. This is despite the unified king previously stating he’d accept the offer.

When asked about Fury, Wilder kept his cool exterior. But when Morgan and Reid mentioned Joshua, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ began a lengthy rant looking directly into the camera.

Clearly upset at the situation, Wilder knows he has to remain perfect in his next fight as millions of dollars of future earnings rest on a victory.

A Joshua undisputed blockbuster fully depends on Wilder fending off the challenge of Fury. Which is no mean feat as Fury is an undefeated former world ruler himself.

Wilder v Fury goes down on December 1 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The impending battle will see both headlining on the Showtime Pay-Per-View platform for the first time.

Should Fury come out on top, a rematch is already inserted into the contract, which could mean an extended wait for Joshua.

In the meantime, Joshua is linked to fighting Dillian Whyte in April. Whilst Hughie Fury could beat his cousin to the punch by sealing a mandatory against Kubrat Pulev.

The younger Fury meets Pulev in Bulgaria in a final IBF eliminator later this month.
