Pound for Pound Top 50 boxers: The Tyson Fury debate, triumphant Jose Pedraza returns

Comeback wins over Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta were enough to see Fury overhaul Joseph Parker and Kubrat Pulev in the system but saw the ‘Gypsy King’ land just outside the Top 50.

Fury will challenge Deontay Wilder for the WBC crown by the end of 2018, with a victory already deemed good enough to see the 30 year-old break the Top 10 for the first time in his career.

Jose Pedraza is back following his win over Ray Beltran as the Puerto Rican became a two-weight, two-time world title holder on Saturday night.

Carl Frampton‘s win last week has the Irishman remaining at 15, three places higher than at the beginning of the year.

WBN’s pound for pound rankings are based on world title wins, multi-weight titles, calibre of opponents, manner of victories, longevity and activity in a calendar year.

Fighters earn more ranking points for defeating opponents also rated in the Top 50. Star ratings are based on achievement in the sport.

*Fighters who fail to arrange an upcoming fight for twelve months will forfeit their ranking (barring injury).
