MTK Global is delighted to confirm the signing of world-ranked featherweight Nathaniel ‘Cheeky’ May.
The 23-year-old (19-1-KO11) has blazed a trail through Australian boxing since making his professional debut in 2013 and is ready to begin his assault on major titles.
May, who trains in Freddie Roach’s legendary Wild Card gym, said: “This is a big opportunity for me.
“Most of the big names in boxing are signed with MTK Global nowadays. I’m happy to sign a contract with them and I’m really looking forward to getting started.
“We have a fight with the new coaching team that will dust off some of the cobwebs and then we’ll see what’s next.
“I’m loving training in Los Angeles so far. It feels like home. I’ve come all the way from Australia and they’ve welcomed me with open arms so I’m loving it.
“I’ve got a good left hook and a good right hand. My left hook has got me through my whole career but anything that lands should be good.”
MTK Global International Consultant Mike Altamura added: “It’s great to bring a fighter of Nathaniel’s calibre on board. His record and ranking speak for themselves.
“Everyone in Australia already knows he’s a special talent so we’re looking forward to bringing him to a wider audience and helping him fulfil his dream – becoming a world champion.”
May is currently ranked by both the IBF and the WBO.
