On Saturday, September 8, at the Forum in Inglewood, California, the “Superfly3” card will feature a World Boxing Council elimination super flyweight duel between Mexicans Juan Francisco Estrada (36-3-0, 25 KO’s) and Felipe Orucuta (36-4-0, 30 KO’s).

Opening the HBO broadcast, in an attractive plus intense battle for the WBC Silver crown, Japan’s Kazuto Ioka (22-1-0, 13 KO’s), fights Vs Puerto Rican McWilliams Arroyo (17-3-0, 14 KO’s), who comes from defeating Carlos Cuadras.

World Boxing Council super lightweight champion, José Ramírez, will make the first defense of his title against Antonio “Implacable” Orozco, on Friday, September 14 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

Ramirez was scheduled to defend his title on July 7 against Danny O’Connor, but the fight was canceled after O’Connor was hospitalized for severe dehydration, prior to the weigh-in.

Ramirez (22-0, 16 KOs), a fighter from the Central Valley of California, admired and beloved for his commitment to immigrant causes and water rights struggle for area farmers, won the vacant WBC super lightweight title on the 17th March in the city in New York, defeating Amir Imam by UD.

Orozco (27-0, 17 KOs), ranked number 3 on the WBC lists, is a 10-year professional with the experience of having triumphed over quality fighters and former world champions.

The card, which will be televised on ESPN, is promoted by Top Rank, in partnership with Golden Boy Promotions.
